Fast sing along southern country with punk rock roots and a good ‘ol bluegrass feel. Mama Tried is influenced by folk singers, hippies, hill billys, punks and poets. At live shows they play ballads, get rowdy with their fans,and play some Gospel songs too.
Mama Tried has been building a following for the past year by way of their live shows, and music releases, including TheBeeRoom’s latest releases “TheBeeRoom Mixtape Vol. 1” and “Outlaws & Egos (red).” Most of their newest material has been recorded live at various venues in Texas, and they released their first album “The Long Road to Gods Country” in 2011. They are back in the studio with their current line-up of musicians (now including mandolin and dobro) and their highly anticipated new album should be ready by Summer 2012.
