Shark Attack
Shark Attack is a Galveston – based reggae band with a sound that can be described as “Reggae with Bite”. Their smooth island style roots/dub is peppered with aggressive vocals filled with harmonies and sing-along style hooks that gets their fans in a frenzy. Shark Attacks down-to-earth personalities and on stage antics, keep the band/crowd interaction personal and entertaining regardless of the venue.
Mama Tried
Fast sing along southern country with punk rock roots and a good 'ol bluegrass feel. Mama Tried is influenced by folk singers, hippies, hill billys, punks and poets.
Shaun Michael
This crowd pleaser obviously loves what he does and shows it in all his work. Bringing exuberant life to his songs ranging from a taste of rock to a love of country, and a lot in between. So stay in earshot and you will be hearing more from Shaun Michael.
Soul Fire
After years in the reggae scene touring as a vocalist as well as a percussionist, Dru returned to Texas with a vision. Real conscious dancehall music. Growing up submerged in reggae through family and his involvement with the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. Dru has an unique and genuine spiritual perspective on the music which is often lost in American reggae bands. Because of this the Soulfire sound has developed to be the hardest reggae band on the Gulf coast.SunDrunk
In an auto-tuned world of devoid of light, SunDrunk has boldly proclaimed LET THERE BE ROCK! Based out of Houston/Galveston, SunDrunk has been bringing tha heat since 2010. They thrive under the Texas sun to make good music that will get you out of your shell and on your feet, fist pumping in the air as you enjoy a sonically delectable feast for your ears... Formed in June 2009, Footpie is Houston's hottest Reggae Rock trio. Smooth beats, fat bass, and amazing vocals make Footpie a band you definately need to see live... Nominated for Best Reggae in the 2010 Houston Press Music Awards
The Crew
The Crew formed in the summer of 2011 with the purpose of doing a music tour by sailboat. Marc Borde of Shark Attack (vocals, acoustic guitar, percussion), Ryan Beard of Shark Attack and Mama Tried (vocals, acoustic guitar, percussion), and Blake Plsek of Mama Tried (banjo, percussion, vocals) are the primary members of the crew, but they often colaborate with other musicians at shows. Their sound is an acoustic blend of reggae, bluegrass, and rock, and they have an extensive list of original songs including giving Shark Attack and Mama Tried songs a unique twist. The album "Guitar Strings & Sailboat Things" recorded on The Crew's tour sailboat "Alyzarian" is a good representation of the groups diverse style. The Crew successfully completed their "Guitar Strings & Sailboat Things" tour in mid August 2011, playing 33 shows in 38 days along the Texas coast at ports from Seabrook to Corpus Christi by sailboat and bicylcle.
